Obama decries waste, fraud in gov't health system
(AP)
AP - President Barack Obama denounced waste, inefficiency and downright fraud in the government's health care system on Wednesday as he sought to rally public support for his revamped overhaul plan. Steelers Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
The Steelers didn't make any big splashes during the opening days of free agency, but they did work furiously to add veteran depth to the roster.
Free safety Will Allen, wide receivers Arnaz Battle and Antwaan Randle El and offensive tackle Jonathan Scott were among those signed to compete for playing time. Even free safety Ryan Clark, who was allowed to become an unrestricted free agent, reportedly agreed to a new deal.
For Randle El, it's a return to the franchise for which he played his first four seasons.
The Steelers' other unrestricted free agents, including running back Willie Parker, cornerback Deshea Townsend, defensive ends Nick Eason and Travis Kirschke and safety Tyrone Carter were not talked to before free agency started.
